Mims: Move (If You Wanna)

The "this is why I'm hot" star Mims is back with a new club bouncing, car-knocking, single titled "Move (If You Wanna)" produced by Chicago producers, Da Internz. The hard-hitting, high energy of the beat and deep "move if you wanna" voice alone makes you want to "move", but lyrically, I was expecting a flow to come a little harder than this. I can easily hear Jay-Z killing this beat, or possibly Lil Wayne. Especially with his new album supposedly about to drop in March. The beat alone may carry him and make the clubs go crazy, but he's gotta come a lot harder than this. I hate when a good beat is wasted on a weak flow. What do you think?

CIARA FEAT. YOUNG JEEZY: NEVER EVER VIDEO

Check out the new video from Ciara titled "Never Ever". It's slated to come off her anticipated album "Fantasy Ride" due out in April. The song features the "street's favorite rapper" Young Jeezy.

If you know anything about that old school, then the melody should sound familiar to you. This is a remake from one of the old school music groups, Harold Melvin & The Blue Notes "If You Don't Know Me By Now". Back then, they use to have a complete sentence for a song title! She has defiantly came up since the "Goodies" days. What do you think?

...is that Reuben Studdard in the beginning? He look like he lost a lot of weight!

A TAKE IT BACK FIX: TEEDRA MOSES: BE YOUR GIRL

This song isn't exactly old school, but this was released a couple of years back by a talented and beautiful artist by the name of Teedra Moses. This was the lead single to her album "Complex Simplicity" back in 2005. She has yet to get that mainstream attention, but I think that is what I like about her.

She was scheduled to release her second album on a new lable TVT titled "The Lioness" back in 2007, but unfortuntaly the lable filed for bankruptcy, and the album has yet to release. I believe she will hit one day. As long as she keeps making sexy quiet storm bangers like this, she should be good! This always puts you in that laid back mood. The video fits the vibe perfect!

After years of hookups and rocky relationships he's ready to break away from the gold-diggers and groupies and find a unique lady capable of restoring his faith in women."

John Legend To Headline Super Bowl Pre-Game Show w/ T-Pain

Five-time Grammy Award winning recording artist and concert performer, JOHN LEGEND will help kick off Super Bowl XLIII as part of the pregame festivities at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa Bay on Sunday, February 1, the NFL and NBC announced yesterday. This will be John's second Super Bowl appearance.

Supposidly, T-Pain is going to join John Legend with an extra "vocoder version" of Green Light! I'm interested to see how that is going to turn out.

IN DA LAB: Diddy Working On A New Album

Check out Diddy in the studio working on a track to his new album. Even though Danity Kane split, he still has those girls under contract, and you know damn right Diddy about to use them! If not collectively, separately. The person singing sounds like Dawn from the group(which seems to be the more promising member of the group to successfully be solo), but I'm not 100%.

ELECTRIK RED: SO GOOD

Check out this hot four member female group called Electrik Red! This group has been floating under the radar for a minute. "So Good" is actually their third single, from their debut album, How to Be a Lady: Volume 1, which is produced by Tricky Stewart and The Dream. "So Good" is a sexy mid-tempo track wit the vibe of Prince in the air. The periodic "Prince claps" slap me back into the late 80's every time I hear it!

If you're liking their vibe, check out their Myspace!

Shout out to Brian from concreteloop for putting me on to them!

The Dream Talks New Mariah Carey Album 'MC3'

I'mma need them to come up with a better name this 3rd time around! Ain't they learned the last 2 times!

Lil Wayne: Prom Queen

‘Prom Queen’ is the lead single from the forthcoming Lil Wayne rock album Rebirth, set for release April 7, 2009. The official debut of the single was via live streaming of his San Diego concert in on January 27, 2009 on MySpace. I don't know about you, but I can dig what Lil Wayne is doing. I know some of you black folks got something to say about him doing rock music, but I knew it would be inevitable with Wayne. He even said in a recent interview Lil Wayne can be quoted saying, "Kanye has made it easier for me to sing on my next album". Who knew he actually would be trying to pull an "r & b"

HOT STUFF: CHELLY-TOOK THE NIGHT

This track is HOTT! The song, by Chelly, came out of obscurity on a radio show in Los Angeles and is starting to blow up on the West Coast radio scene! The pounding beat, and early 90's club sound runs ramped on this track. The lyrics are very simple, with it's elementary school chanting and random "out-of order" counting, makes you want to hear this again and again. There is something so off, yet so cool about this track. You'll either really love it, or you won't. What do you think?

GINUWINE: LAST CHANCE

Ginuwine is back! On a new lable, a new album in the works, and now his first new single titled "Last Chance". The song is a nice mid-tempo track with a nice rock and chant at the beginning and throughout the song. It also hints at that classic vibe of Ginuwine with the use of some guitar and strings. The track was written by Adonis and produced by Bryan Micheal Cox.

Bobby Valentino Releases Mixtape

I've been a fan of Bobby Valentino since before he was signed with Disturbing The Peace. With his new album "The Rebirth" coming out February 10th, he gives a little "preview" before the album. Actually, since his 1st album, Mr. Valentino has knocked out a mixtape just before his albums release. This proves to me, that this dude is serious about his craft! Keep on ya grind! Success comes to those who work hard!

Welcome to Melodisiac!

What up! This blog is going to be my playground as far as expressing my EXTREME love for music...ALL MUSIC! the name "Melodisiac" is a fusion of the words melody and afrodisiac. Music is defiantly an afrodisiac for me. It always puts me in a place other things can't. A good melody can ignite a fire in me to be a better person, or to be more sexual, or get hype than a mutha! And I've never been big on any type of sport. So I say music is my sport! Not everyone will like sports, but EVERYONE will love music! So I'm just going to give my take on what I love and hate about music, music reviews, and music to look out for! Stay tuned...just like music, you never know how the melody will turn!
